  • Course Instructors/Field Consultants-East Bay Montessori Training, Concord CA

    We are looking for Early Childhood Course Instructors/Field Consultants for the 2025 & 2026 program year.

    East Bay Montessori Training is an undergraduate Montessori Teacher Education Program offering a year-round Montessori Early Childhood (3 – 6-year-old) Teacher Credential Course. The center is MACTE accredited and AMS affiliated. 

    Classes are held approximately every other Saturday for 4-8 hours each.

    Applicants are required qualifications:

    o Early Childhood Montessori Credentials 

    o Teaching experience with adults.  This can include parent education, or leading teachers.

    o Minimum 3 years teaching experience in a Montessori 3-6 classroom.

    o Current AMS membership, or willing to obtain one.

    o Evidence of 30 hours of continuing professional development in the past three years

    o Recommended a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or its equivalent, however minimum requirement of a secondary education diploma (high school diploma), plus an approved professional portfolio that documents educational achievements.

  • ECE Garden Teacher-Beginnings & Beyond, Concord CA

    We are a unique school weaving our faith in Christ into a Montessori prepared environment. The children learn from the Bible through hands on materials, learn grace during meal times, and teachers pray with the children as needed.


    We have all Montessori areas in the classroom and a kindergarten class.   Our aim is to have credential Montessori teachers fill every position at our school.  However sometimes we may have opportunities for others who do not hold their credentials yet.

    Montessori Teacher-Oakland

    Qualifications:

    Graduated from accredited Montessori training program

    Minimum 12 units of early childhood education that include: child development, child, family, and community, and curriculum

    Minimum 6 months experience working with children

    Responsibilities:

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 3:00PM

    Plan, supervise, and carry out an effective program for the class in accordance with the philosophy of the school and Montessori teachings.

    Reports to the Director for supervision.

    Maintain communication with parents - in person or email.

    Conduct parent teacher conferences.

    Gear the program to the needs of the individual children with concern for interests, handicaps, talents, etc.

    Treat each child and staff member with care and respect.

    Be responsible for the décor, appearance, and learning environment of the classroom.

    Maintain petty cash receipts.

    Send out a weekly newsletter via email to families in your classroom including but not limited to updates on the monthly theme, special activities and photographs of the children from the week.

    Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs, including in-service staff meetings.

    Compensation:

    $31.00-$33.80/hr PLUS paid breaks based on experience, class size and completed course work.

    401K retirement benefit with 5% employer match.

    Generous personal time off, holiday & vacation package provided in addition to 5 weeks paid vacation over school holidays

    Part Time Teacher-Lafayette, Moragoa, Oakland

    Qualifications

    Minimum 6 units of early childhood education that include: child development, child, family, and community, and curriculum

    Minimum 6 months experience working with children

    (A partially qualified Teacher must have 6 months teaching experience, 6 units and be continually enrolled in ECE courses until successfully completing 12 units. (A partially qualified teacher falls under the assistant role in the wage scale until completing all 12 units.)

    Responsibilities:

    Schedule: Monday through Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Substitute and childcare hours also available.

    Assists and oversees the children at all times

    Helps to plan and carry out the after school activities and schedule with co-teachers

    Ensures all students are signed out prior to leaving the campus

    Reset classrooms, playgrounds, and shared spaces daily for a clean, safe school environment

    Communicates with the main day Head Teacher to ensure uniform parent interactions and carry individual students goal into the afternoon

    Communicates any issues, ouch reports, parent requests/questions that arise to the campus director

    Attends scheduled staff meetings and continuing education as provided by the Director, including in-service training of the staff.

    Compensation:

    $22.36-26.52/hr PLUS paid breaks based on experience, class size and completed course work.
